Workin’ Workin’

Been working on picture formatting all day. Just posted a series of Scar and series of a new girl Forrest and I just shot to Blue Blood’s GothicSluts.com.

Been enjoying shooting some new faces, but I’m really looking forward to seeing Szandora soon. Will be able to do a bunch more shooting once we finish some of the projects currently in the hopper and I can’t wait. Right now, I am bleeding like a stuck pig. Usually, Szandora and I coordinate our blood waterfalls. Guess I’ll just have to do it twice this month. Wouldn’t be the first time with her. Szandora claims it is me, but I think it is her hormones ruling me. One would expect me to be a total alpha female, but, in this respect, my body fails me.

Passion Fruit Mousse

I’m going to go get gourmet pastry.

I Feel Yucky

Nothing is particularly wrong. I’m really pleased with the way my creative energies are being directed. Excited about the Fall. Loving the Blue Blood boards. Eaten yummy food recently. Yeah, my ankle is still jacked up and, along with some other health thangs, that is impeding my ability to excersize. But picking up heavy things and putting them down again is hardly my reason for being. Tried to watch comic Ron White on TiVo, but he just wasn’t funny enough. Partly he was reusing material that was funny the first time, but lost something in repetition. Having hot and cold flashes and should probably go to the doctor again, but if it hasn’t been fixed with the first gajillion dollars in medical bills, not sure the next time will be the charm. Probably partly just this weird murderous PMS I seem to have acquired, but I’m sick of it. Sick of being under the weather when I’ve got work to do. Maybe the Blue Blood relaunch is part of where I’m feeling bad. It is going really well, but it is a little like picking scabs off a wound I thought the scars were long-healed on. Hmmm, fever seems to be subsiding. Maybe I will eat some leftover BBQ and try TiVo again.

Blargh

Just waking up now. Didn’t get to sleep until after noon. Meant to get some sun, but my schedule was too jacked up to do it. Watched 24 Hour Party People with Forrest while sending out a Blue Blood newsletter. Whenever we do one of these and I think about how much news I don’t bother mentioning in a newsletter, it makes me feel like I actually do something. Most of the time, my workaholic self can not acknowledge my own productivity.

BlueBlood.net has a bunch of exciting new coverage of events including Comic Con, E3, and the BlueBlood.net relaunch part at Release the Bats. The Blue Blood Community boards are humming with life and thought-provoking intelligent conversation. Finally, there is a place on the web to discuss everything you crave. Come join the fun.

ON OUR BACKS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The seminal lesbian BDSM magazines, On Our Backs, just celebrated their twentieth anniversary. Not their 20th issue but their 20th year in print. The celebratory edition featured a selection of the 52 hottest photos ever seen in the magazine’s pages. An Amelia G and Forrest Black photo of punk butch beauty Alexi was included in this exclusive best of collection.

MARQUIS 31

The new issue of glossy fetish mag Marquis is out now with a nice long installment of Amelia G’s Big in America column. This time around, Big in America includes Forrest Black and Amelia G-lensed photos of Blue Bloods Szandora, Genesis LaVey, Voltaire Blue, and Stephanie Slaughter. Plus Fleshbot, some very sexy master glass blowers, and more. Forrest Black and Amelia G have now been doing the U.S. fetish scene coverage for Marquis for nearly three and a half years. They are one of only three American photo studios ever tapped to shoot a Marquis cover. If you are a fetish designer or party promoter, you are crazy if you don’t email Amelia@BlueBlood.net to find out how you can get press coverage.

PRINT – AMERICA’S GRAPHIC DESIGN MAGAZINE LIKES FORREST BLACK’S DESIGN

http://www.barelyevil.com/

http://www.gothicsluts.com/

The prestigious graphic design magazine PRINT honored Forrest Black in their Sex Issue for his work on BarelyEvil.com and GothicSluts.com. Over the years, Forrest Black’s web designer skills have been tapped by such bands as the Dandy Warhols, Beastie Boys, and Everclear, but he is thrilled to be in PRINT Magazine. Founded in 1940, PRINT has been a finalist and a winner of the National Magazine Award in the category of general excellence more times than any other publication but The New Yorker.

SEX HERALD PRESS FOR BARELY EVIL

http://www.barelyevil.com/

Professional writer and sometime dominatrix Delilah Wood wrote up Blue Blood’s BarelyEvil.com for The Sex Herald. Summarizing the site by calling it “Artsy, gritty, kinky and pretty” she goes on to review the site in-depth. Some of what she had to say was, “Sick of the plastic princesses of porn, and even the nubile naturals of the amateur world? In steps BarelyEvil.com, a collection of photos of tattooed, pierced, dyed-haired and alabaster-skinned gothic queens posing in circumstances from kinky to classy. The girls here are universally gorgeous within the given aesthetic, and they range in wildness from Gauge, a flexible, dirty-blond-haired knockout with no distinguishing body marks aside from a perfect pair of breasts, to Rachel Face, a woman with white-and-blue hair, a face full of metal, and a body like a tattoo artist’s canvas. The vast majority, though, are pale girls with dark hair, perfect skin, lots of eye makeup, and some body mods. This is clearly a site for those who are into something a bit different, and who want some art along with their erotica … there are the impossible pin-up fantasies in blinding, livid colors, the simple, straightforward porn shoots, and the reality shoots that make you feel like you could actually hook up with these girls.”

AVN PRESS FOR BARELY EVIL

http://www.barelyevil.com/

Continuing the theme of female reviewers who love Barely Evil, AVN’s Rebecca Gray profiled the site in this month’s issue, saying, “Yeah, it’s exactly what you wanna see. These “Wicked Sexy Young Girls” are sponsored here courtesy of Blue Blood, the mag, the site, the cultural scene that underpins the erotic life of Modern Vampires everywhere. Under the auspices of “Gothic Erotica, Punk Porn and Bad Girls,” site features pictorials of pretty young pierced things with colorful hair and equally colorful monikers. The high-quality erotic photography of Forrest Black and Amelia G is on display in numerous galleries, and the freebies available will certainly make joiners out of even the most iconoclastic.”

CONSUMPTION JUNCTION PRESS FOR BARELY EVIL

http://www.barelyevil.com/

According to CJ’s reviewers, Barely Evil is in the Top 50 best membership sites on the net. That is the Top 50 in all genres from cheerleaders to celebs.

ADULT REVIEWS PRESS FOR GOTHIC SLUTS

http://www.gothicsluts.com/

This esteemed review site had this to say, “Pale-skinned, tattooed, made-up, weird-haired girls are all over this place … Bottom line: There is a freaking ton of material on this site. If you’re into the goth thing and you aren’t a member, you’re making a mistake and truly missing out.”

FLESHBOT PRESS FOR BLUE BLOOD

Highly respected sex blog Fleshbot says, “We always knew the Blue Blood girls were big in America – nice to know they’re big in Europe too” and “we’ll always love … all the Blue Blood Girls.”

SIN IS HER PICTURE OF THE DAY

No Rest for the Wicked

Forrest just posted a set of Molly Winters to Blue Blood’s BarelyEvil.com. We did it during a smoke break when she was out in LA. I’m dying to show her the pix, but she is one of those nomadic adventurers who just reappear after a while, so I guess I’ll have to wait a bit.

Now that Forrest was so good about doing hot new stuff for BarelyEvil.com, I am going to have to do some GothicSluts.com updates. Blargh. I just drank half a single shot iced latte. Took a lot of self-control not to finish it, but I am slooooooooooowly cutting down more and more. Not ready for cold turkey and getting anything done at the same time though.

Comic Con 2004

So I’m recovered enough from Comic Con to write about it on BlueBlood.net. My hotel was fucking awesome.

I got to share a few buckets of shrimp with Forrest and got to commando photograph him being “sassed” by our waitress.

I got to run into my old housemate Colin. Who is fucking responsible for me reading comics in the first place.

And Coredumper showed me a good time.

And I got to have a three-way with Forrest and Steve.

The convention itself was a lot like a big store which charges admission. The Sam’s Club of comics, if you will. But I had a blast. If you wish to read all about it in detail, just click.

Yay I Got the New Marquis In!

Yay, I got the new Marquis in finally. It took weeks from when they sent me mags for them to come in. Local LA folks, I’ll give you yours in person. Out of town people, please send me your current mailing address here. I don’t like to send $20 magazines to unconfirmed addresses. Thanks.

I’m especially pleased with the Jonno, Szandora, and Genesis LaVey stuff in this edition. It is always nice to be able to do coverage on the people who are extra good to me and really deserve it.

Wow, this means Forrest Black and I have had many pages of our work published in all but one issue of Marquis over the last three plus years. And we are some of the only American photographers to have shot a cover for them. I think the only others are Steve Diet Goedde and Sean McCall who shoots for the SpookyCash sites Space Girls and Vampire Sex. Whoo-hoo!

La la la

So I guess various people at PayPal are not 100% in agreement on closing my account when I didn’t have any violations. I have received like half a dozen communications from them today. They keep sending me weird notices with quotes from their TOS which I am definitely not in violation of. I don’t even have to write to them to get a few of these. I’m kind of hoping I will win, given that I am genuinely in the right and all. Not overly optimistic, given their track record though. I think I’ve pretty much come up with a solution though, regardless. And PayPal can just end up owing me more money.

Got a brand new bankruptcy notice from the remnants of my old transaction bank folks. The first one got thrown out, but they have filed a new one with new attornies. Still in Utah. Bummer to have had someone take off with so much money they collected in my name. But I still gave all of my customers full service, even though I didn’t get their payments. So I think it was fairly invisible to them. And it is less aggravating to me than having the same thing done to me by Industrial Nation/Moon Mystique. I mean, it was A LOT less money when the IN/MM folks did it, but it hurt so much more coming from within my scene like that. Especially when I told those guys they could make good on it with ad space, if they had already spent the money they collected for print copies of Blue Blood and all. I just saw recently that those miserable thieves were selling rare old copies of Blue Blood on an auction site. Rare old copies which I sent them COD (because they already were past due on close to a grand) and they wrote me a check on a closed bank account. Nice, huh?

I don’t usually eat a lot of sweets, but I went and got some high end pastry last night as a treat for myself. Passion fruit mousse with layered rasberry and butter creme and a forest berry tart with all sorts of exotic berries and custard. My tongue is still orgasming. Bought some super-delish smoked salmon and corned beef too. Just for health points. Hee hee. Good thing my dad sent me a blood pressure machine.

Hoping to finish up some Blue Blood updates today. Was going to do it Monday but had a great shoot with a new girl instead. I think I’m going to go visit Szandora soon. I need to visit to get Szandora.com live, but really that is an excuse and I just wanna go.
