The Golden Rule

I had such a fabulous, awesome, great day yesterday that today is really having trouble measuring up and every little thing is annoying me.

And, can I just say that I wish more people followed the Reverse Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is treat others as you would wish to be treated. The Reverse Golden Rule in Amelialand is to treat people well, if they have been good to you. Sometimes it really really pisses me off that favors I have done for tons of other people do not get done for me in return.

If you think this post is about you, you are almost certainly mistaken, but feel free to build a fantasy grudge in your delusional head.

I just got a text message that says:

I love you! Smooch. Call me.

I totally don’t recognize the number or know who it is. I guess I’ve travelled so much lately and am so beloved it is hard for me to keep track.

Anyone know where area code 204 is?

Just got in the new issue of Marquis (#38)
Here are the pages from the Big in America colum Amelia G and I are responsible for. I really like how a lot of the stuff fir this issue came out. We covered lots of fun parties and events and profiled some people I really like. It starts off with some sexy coverage of another Dita performance. Her sparkley rhinestone merry-go-round horse looks spectacular on stage. There is some coverage of the new Fatal-Beauties.com website and a lot of the great fetish models and such that are featured over there. A focus on Vima, our friends over at Shrine, some coverage of Miss Conduct and Pia and Adrianne doing some sexy fetish fashion event runway work. Oh, and some good coverage of Miss Kitty and a lot of the fun performance stuff her stylish club crew does. There is even some stuff in there about our friend Clint Catalyst, America’s Next Top Model, just in time right? Ha. Mistress Jennifer, Art with Latex, and all sorts of cool happening stuff. Check it out if you get the chance.

Scar 13 and I are Superheroes (PIC)

This is what happens when Scar 13 and I and a few dozen of our closest pals go out on the town in a Superhero-themed party bus. Yes, we end up taking naughty pictures in the bathroom.

Whole set posting later today to both BlueBlood.com and Scar13.com.

I’ll let everyone know when the free BlueBlood.net galleries of that night out post. Unfortunately, the BDSM Ranger Mario lost his camera, so, while someone undoubtedly has these photos, I am not in possession of any of the shots of gravestone madness or Jack Daniels bottle violations.

Existential

I just can’t seem to get the oomph going to do my work today. I’m tired of dieting. Comic Con’s most fun moments were hanging out with small groups of friends. It feels weird to be home from something that left me sort of raw and exhausted but still not really socially satisfied. Went to coffee with a neighbor the other night. Ran into him in the street and he offered to change his plans and go to the coffee place I was going instead of where he’d been headed (there is a lot of coffee near me.) It seems weird that I never think of calling people who live blocks from me who I really do totally like. Somehow the planning part is too difficult in Los Angeles because no one really has a schedule. Only last minute is sort of weird. Like, come have sushi with me right now, like, if you can’t make it in fifteen minutes, forget it. I guess today is oddly introspective day. Normally mildly annoying stuff today has been upgraded to moderately annoying. If only I could electrocute people through the interweb.

So anyway, here is Justine Joli rocking a Blue Blood shirt:

BlueBlood.net Just Relaunched!

Hey everyone, what do you think of the new BlueBlood.net?! I’m very excited about the new setup. Still working out a few kinks, so please let me know if something is acting funny, but the overall site is looking mighty fine. Sign up for the forums (which is totally free) and you can comment on articles.

Authors interested in contributing to the new BlueBlood.net should email submit@blueblood.net with story pitch ideas and writing samples. Thanks!

Yolanda Tribute to Marilyn Monroe

We had a lot of fun taking Yolanda to Vegas for her birthday. She brought the jewelry and the color for the bathwater and I brought the Marilyn Monroe poses and a good time was had by all.

Kinda unrelated fun fact to know and share: Lots of famous hotties choose to parlay their well-known image into nights of passion with musicians, but Marilyn Monroe slept her way throught the ranks of the authors of her day.

Blue Blood is, like, popular and stuff

Whoo-hoo!

Even though we haven’t had it for long, the Blue Blood MySpace profile just passed 50,000 friends. I can feel the love!

I figured I’d post my own cleavage for a change. This is from last year’s Comic Con and X-Sanguin ball galleries. This and rest of shots are available at full size in Blue Blood free galleries.

I just posted this in a community and thought I’d post the blow-up-my-friends-page sized one in my own journal.

And a happy (only slightly belated) birthday to the gent in the photo with me!

I have cramps, but Forrest rules because, even though he is super-busy, he just brought me coffee to soothe them.

I am going to Comic Con naked

So, I lost thirty pounds so far this year. (I gained a bunch of weight while laid up with a broken ankle a while back.) So now I have nothing to wear because I’m not quite back in my regular clothing yet, but I’m way too thin for anything new I got. Blargh.

Comic Con & X-Sanguin

Got a whole lot of Comic Con and X-Sanguin photos posted to BlueBlood.net now. Once again, this year, the Blue Blood crew will be at megaboth #433, sponsored by The Brotherhood. Come by and say hello!

Love, Amelia

Whole set appears on the newly officially launched BlueBlood.com. I’m really psyched about how this series turned out. What do you all think? More to come!

Unfriendly Biters

You know what I find really peculiar?

There are a few people out there who seem to base everything they do on what I do and what I say. I’ll photograph an obscure designer and they contact the designer to shoot their clothes. I’ll set up a location studio at a trannie club and, even though they’ve never shot trannies before, they will call up the promoter and beg to shoot there. I’ll express a concern about a feminist issue and all of a sudden they’ll give it lip service. I’ll come up with a concept for a shoot or a site or an article and they are all up in it, making pale imitations, when they are probably quite capable of doing something cool on their own, if they’d just be original for a moment. They will only date people I say are hot. They will move to whatever city I tell them is cool. They will try to work for or with anyone I’ve worked for or with, even those where I maybe didn’t make the best choice of a gig.

Obviously, it is not like there is one person who has done all these things, but the personality type is recurring in my life.

I would think that, if these types find me sooooooooooo inspiring that they’d base their freaking lives or careers or art on me, then at least they would sorta want to be nice to me. Yet, once these sorts of people get the slightest toe in the door, they start trying to push me out. It makes me feel bad to have people trying to push me out of areas I enjoy, just because my being there inspired them to want to be there. Plus, if they are just going to follow me to the next thing I do, I have to stand my ground and endure the irritation, as I know the biters will only follow, if I go elsewhere.

How am I supposed to respond to it when people do this sort of thing? I mean, I always wanted to be influential, but it hadn’t occurred to me that being influential would mean that I’d have to deal with people who were simultaneously on my jock and angry at me for being what they want to be or something. If that is even it. I don’t even get what they are angry about.

Can anyone explain this irritating behavior to me?

I guess I should probably post something official here about how BlueBlood.com officially launched July 4, Independence Day, but, hey, here is a photo I’m really pysched about, which Forrest Black and I shot, and which posted this weekend:

Have I mentioned that I have a total mobster fetish and really really like pinstripes?
