hey there..
I think I remember those Punk-Group-house days..LOL
Re: hey there..
I think you do indeed
Wot the….
… Bloody ‘ell are you doing awake at this hour?
That is very sad that a place that sold so many indy and weird magazines is gone.
I know I bought more magazines (including BB) at Tower than cds…
Me too! I would buy all the weirdo zines and all the ridiculously expensive import mags and everything there too, like the J-rock stuff and everything. I know I spent more on that than on rent for quite some time and it was totally worth it.
Re: Wot the….
My boss is a hardass and works me all night
I have a question….
…about models.
Was it Kemp Mill Records or Tower that threatened to sue you because of the BLT fanzine? I think it was Kemp Mill.
As my happy Thanksgiving though to you, they went out of business years ago. Serves them right, goddamn prickly-ass, can’t-take-a-freakin’-joke corporation.
Re: I have a question….
And what might that question be? You want to shower me with riches and clothes and do cross-promo involving models?
Ha, ha, totally Kemp Mill. The only complaint better than that was when someone’s mom called Night Dreams to complain about the store advertising in such a terrible publication . . . and then later, at home, I got her to admit on speakerphone that she liked porn with like twenty people in my room, including her son, as I recall.
Re: I have a question….
possibly something like that.. depends on how much the riches will cost me..LOL
but I need better pictures for my site.. mine suck!
Re: I have a question….
Wow, yeah, those shots do NOT do your beautiful work justice. Incidentally, I have some brand new stuff of yours and a magazine or two you asked me not to send you at the time . . . but it is all still waiting for ya.
Riches are fungible and always nice and certainly accepted. I like to do punk rock barter with friends where possible. I can tell you I’d like a crazy outfit with wings and I think we could do some cool cross-promo with your show schedule i.e. I could shoot stuff of my talent in your gear for flyers and online which promote both. We could possibly even share a booth or two at some point, but that would be separate, just something to contemplate.
Very sad. I remember Tower was the only place I could find the stuff that helped influence where I am today…including Blue Blood, ReSearch, FutureSex, PFIQ, and Skin Two (In fact I remember the first time I bought it Kris exclaimed “twenty dollars for a magazine!”)
Your post also reminds me once again, of how smart and cool you are
