Sometimes I get really frustrated when I have to fix things. What do you get when you fix something? You get what you had to begin with. Nothing new. Nothing improved. No accomplishment other than back to square one.

Someone vandalized my car when I was going to shoot in what I guess was a sketchy neighborhood. This was ages ago now and I just can’t get around to fixing it.

Legal BS is the same thing. If someone infringes on my intellectual property rights, I have to pursue it, but, once it is fixed, I pretty much end up with what I started with, my property.

I had a very tasty brunch today.

With legal stuff, you at least get to “win”, though I guess that’s not much fun since you didn’t go looking for the fight. You at least get the satisfaction of squashing a bug that was be-deviling you.

It’s a sign of a well-ordered personality that you don’t get off on suing people.

I think with the legal stuff it ends up being more about making a point than anything else. You don’t get anything by fixing it but you make a point that it shouldn’t be done so that maybe the next time a person will think twice and then you won’t have to fix it.
